A natural heritage of
65,000 hectares
Just a few minutes from the hotel, the Haute Vallée de Chevreuse Regional Nature Park is a veritable jewel case of nature in the south-west of the Île-de-France region. Created in 1985, this unspoilt area covers more than 65,000 hectares and 55 communes between the Yvelines and Essonne departments.
It is characterised by a wide variety of landscapes: lush green valleys crossed by rivers such as the Yvette, agricultural plateaux and vast forested areas linked to the Rambouillet forest.
The valley's historical and cultural heritage
The valley boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage, with numerous châteaux, abbeys, manor houses and picturesque villages. Among the most emblematic sites are the Château de la Madeleine, which overlooks the town of Chevreuse, the abbey of Port-Royal-des-Champs and the Château de Dampierre. Numerous paths and itineraries allow you to discover this heritage on foot or by bike, including the famous Jean Racine trail.
An easily accessible park
From Le Dolce Versailles, the park is easily reached via the departmental roads or by bus. The nearest towns, such as Dampierre, Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse and Choisel, can be reached in 20 to 25 minutes by car (around 15 km).
